It was with deep sadness that we learned of the death of Motability Governor Sir Bert Massie following his recent illness.
In the early 1970s, Sir Bert worked for the Liverpool Association for the Disabled. In 1978, he joined the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, where he became Director in 1990. He remained there until the end of 1999 when became Chairman of the Disability Rights Commission (DRC).
