  • We offer 26 days’ Annual Leave (pro rata for part time employees) for new starters, in addition to statutory Bank holidays.

Motability helped me find my perfect career - I'm still here over 10 years later.

“When I finished university, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do as a career. I knew other people who worked at Motability and everyone seemed to enjoy working there, so when a job appeared in the local paper, I applied.
Fast forward 11 years, and I’m still here. Throughout my time at Motability I’ve experienced what it’s like to work in a couple of different departments, found the area I love working in, and worked my way up through the team. Motability have invested in my career, supporting me with professional training and development, and providing opportunities to move around within the business.
When I started working at Motability, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, but the experience and support I have been given enabled me to find my path and progress in an area I had never even considered working in before.”

My interview with Motability.

“Before I worked here, I was a volunteer for Shaw Trust. It was a small, part time job on minimum hours, two to three days a week. I’d been referred from the Job Centre.
Motability contacted the Shaw Trust, asking for candidates to apply for a work experience placement for six months. The Shaw Trust asked if I was interested, and I was.
I was obviously nervous about the interview but it was very relaxed. I was interviewed by two people and they seemed friendly. I was worried about answering the questions right but they understood that I lip-read and repeated, re-phrased or wrote down questions if I asked. They provided a bowl of water for my assistance dog and an advisor from Shaw Trust attended the interview with me for moral support. After my interview, I was shown around the office and everyone was very welcoming.
My interview was a day before my birthday, I found out I’d got the job a few days after and started a week later! I’ve since accepted a permanent position at Motability and have been here for 18 months and still feel the same as I did on my first day- I love it. I feel proud to work for Motability because I’m helping other people who have a disability. I work every day, the hours suit me and I know if I’ve got any concerns I can speak to my team leader and they will make any adjustments I need.
I feel like everyone’s accepted me and my assistance dog. There was even a mat and water bowl ready for him on my first day! I have a Typetalk telephone and receive a transcript for videos and when needed at meetings. There are social events too which are great for meeting people from other areas of the charity. It’s a delight to work here and I’d recommend Motability as an employer for others.”

I’ve recently started working here at Motability and within a short period of time, it was clear to see that Motability value their staff.

"From the start, the job advert displayed was very precise and gave great expectations to the tasks you’ll be carrying out on a day to day basis. The induction process was very informative and full of valuable information to take forward within my career at Motability and the training received was first class. It’s set at a pace that suits you and encourages you to always do the best you can and to put our customers first. The training was adjusted daily to ensure that everyone had the same level of knowledge and there was never any issues going back over things that didn’t sink in.

I’m yet to meet someone here who, no matter how busy they are or how many customers they are helping, will not take the time out of their day to help with anything you need and its genuinely a great feeling to know there are still people out there who will do that.

Working at Motability is the most rewarding job I’ve had and it’s a privilege to be a part of such amazing organization that focuses on providing the right solutions for customers.
