Motability, the Charity, now accepting grant applications from all beneficiaries

Over the last five weeks our teams have been working hard to process applications that were paused before lockdown, and to reopen a number of grant programmes. We are now in a position to accept charitable grant applications from beneficiaries in all phases of our reopening plan.

Due to anticipated increased demand, our call waiting times may be longer than usual. Our opening times are 10.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Phase one:
We are accepting charitable grant applications from beneficiaries who do not currently have a vehicle on the Motability Scheme , and for the Driving Lessons , Access to Work and Additional Transitional Support grant programmes.

Phase two:
We are accepting charitable grant applications from beneficiaries who are currently on the Scheme and have a Complex Driving Solution or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle .

Phase three:
We are now ready to open up phase three, and will accept charitable grant applications from beneficiaries who are renewing a Motability Scheme lease and who wish to apply for a grant towards an Advance Payment and/or Adaptations to a car.

Our website has all the information on our latest Charitable Grants FAQs for beneficiaries and our Coronavirus risk assessments which we will update and review.

This has been an exceptional, unprecedented and challenging time for us all. I am sorry for the inconvenience and delay that this may cause as we reopen.

For updates on the Motability Scheme, which is delivered by the company, Motability Operations, please visit the Scheme website .

Yours,
Barry Le Grys, MBE
