Our Impact

We are committed to ensuring our work contributes positively to the lives and experiences of disabled people.

How do we measure our impact?

We measure and evaluate the impact of our work by understanding the needs of disabled people, planning our projects and services with impact in mind, and by carrying out evaluation studies.

This includes hearing from disabled people and the organisations we work with and fund.

Our evaluation work helps us to understand the difference we make for disabled people and to learn from and improve our work.

What we’ve discovered

For our first Impact Report in 2021, we surveyed around 4,000 individuals including beneficiaries, non-beneficiaries, the general public and healthcare professionals.

The results clearly show that we are making a significant and positive impact on the lives of disabled people.

We have also learned a great deal about unmet mobility need, particularly among the 1.4 million people who have a higher rate mobility allowance but have chosen not to use the Motability Scheme.

We never stop working alongside disabled people to make sure that their knowledge and experience shapes all of our work.
