Merlyn Lowther has over 40 years’ experience within the finance sector, having worked at the Bank of England and been a non-executive director of Schroders Plc and the Co-operative Bank.

She is currently Deputy Chair of the Council at the University of Salford and a Governor of Manchester High School for Girls.

She has also been a Trustee of the Henry Smith Charity and of The Churchill Fellowship.

In her spare time, Merlyn’s interests include theatre and choral singing, with an MA in Actor Training and Coaching as well as an earlier BSc.
