Paul Scully MP attends car handover in Epsom

Friday, 26 May 2023

We were delighted to welcome Paul Scully, Conservative MP for Sutton and Cheam, Minister for Technology and Digital Economy, and prospective London Mayoral candidate, to present the keys for a Motability Scheme car to local constituent Louise.

The handover took place at TrustFord Epsom.

“It’s changed my life completely.”

Louise, 58, is retired and lives in Sutton.

Louise has osteoarthritis and says the car has made a real difference: “I love it. It’s changed my life completely.

“The service I received from Ford was second to none.

“The care and consideration from the dealership was fabulous.”

"Motability’s innovations are leading the way to greater accessibility."

Paul Scully MP said: “I’m very pleased to meet Louise and to hear how the Motability Scheme has helped her to achieve more independence.

“Around 466 disabled people in my constituency are Scheme customers.

“I’m committed to improving transport in Sutton and Cheam, and across London more widely.

“Motability’s innovations are leading the way to greater accessibility.”

Helping disabled people to make the journeys they choose

Barry Le Grys, CEO of Motability, commented: “Over 650,000 people currently use the Motability Scheme, and it was great to meet Louise today and have this opportunity to show how the Scheme helps disabled people to make the journeys they choose.

"We would like to thank Louise for coming today, and Paul Scully for supporting the Motability Scheme. ”
