Charitable Grants

Motability is a national charity, founded in 1977, with the purpose of enhancing the lives of disabled people with transportation solutions. Our vision is that no disabled person shall be disadvantaged due to poor access to transportation.

One of the ways we do this is by offering a number of charitable grant programmes to support the independence of disabled people with their personal or other transportation needs.

Our support can mean that disabled people are able to carry out everyday activities which others may take for granted, such as commuting to work, getting to hospital appointments or enjoying days out with their family and friends.

In 2019/20, we committed more than £71 million in direct grant-making to support more than 25,000 disabled beneficiaries with the financial cost of their transportation needs.
